Gelato Festival World Masters, the most important international competition for individual gelato artisans, will take place at SIGEP WORLD 2026 with the Italy Final.
On January 17, 2026, at the Gelato & Pastry Lab (Hall C6), 16 of Italy’s top gelato makers will compete for one of four spots available in the prestigious World Final.
Throughout the day, contestants will prepare their original recipes live and, in the early afternoon, present their flavors to a jury of industry experts and professionals.

With the 2022–2025 edition, Gelato Festival World Masters celebrates 14 years of activity, after debuting in Florence in 2010, inspired by the first known gelato recipe attributed to the multifaceted architect Bernardo Buontalenti in 1559. Since then, the event has expanded its reach — first across Italy, then throughout Europe, and, since 2017, in the United States — becoming a true world championship that, in its 2017–2021 edition, involved over 3,500 gelato artisans worldwide.
