Excellence in Foodservice

A new format. A focused presence. A strategic market.

On June 17–18, 2026, SIGEP China took place in Shanghai with a project dedicated to promoting Italian artisanal gelato and strengthening relationships in one of the most dynamic and promising markets for the international Foodservice industry.

Over the course of two days, the initiative brought together industry professionals, media representatives, institutions, students, and key stakeholders through a programme of content sessions, networking activities, and discussions focused on market evolution and growth opportunities across the entire value chain.

 

The programme engaged journalists, Key Opinion Leaders, Ho.Re.Ca. operators, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals through educational sessions, hands-on workshops, and in-depth insights into the culture of Italian gelato, production technologies, and the key trends shaping innovation within the sector.

Particular attention was given to professional training, emerging business models, and the opportunities offered by the Chinese market for Italian companies.

Networking lunches and institutional meetings also fostered new connections among companies, partners, and industry stakeholders, helping to strengthen the presence of the Italian ecosystem in China and create new opportunities for international collaboration.

 

The event was part of the ongoing growth strategy of the SIGEP Network, which continues to connect businesses, professionals, and high-potential markets through international initiatives, roadshows, and networking activities across the world's leading Foodservice hubs.
