Claudio Pasqualucci

Biografia

Claudio is a senior government executive with over 30 years of international experience in economic diplomacy, trade promotion, and investment facilitation. He currently serves as Italian Trade and Investment Commissioner in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he leads initiatives to promote bilateral trade, attract foreign direct investment, and support Italian companies operating in East Africa. Previously, he held the same position in Lebanon, China, Mexico, and Australia, developing extensive experience across diverse and complex markets. Earlier in his career, Claudio worked at the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) Headquarters in Rome, where he coordinated national programs supporting start-ups, innovation and technology transfer, infrastructure investment, and real estate development. During this period, he also served as Chief of Staff to the President of the Italian Trade Agency, contributing to strategic planning and institutional coordination at the highest level. Throughout his career, Claudio has been actively involved in EU-funded programs for industrial cooperation and development across the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. He has a proven track record in facilitating B2G, B2B, and B2C partnerships, successfully navigating complex international and multicultural environments. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and is fluent in Italian, English, French, and Spanish. A former rugby player and committed supporter of charitable initiatives, Claudio is widely recognized for his strong interpersonal skills, diplomatic approach, and high ethical standards.
