SIGEP World is reinforcing its commitment to innovation and growth within the European bakery industry by becoming a sponsor of the COFALEC General Assembly 2026, which will take place in Brussels on 11–12 June 2026. COFALEC, the Confederation of European Yeast Producers, is one of the leading representative organizations for the sector and a key voice in shaping the future of the European yeast industry.
The agreement further strengthens the relationship between Italian Exhibition Group and a highly influential association that represents a sector comprising 24 members, 29 production sites across Europe, and more than one million tonnes of yeast produced annually. COFALEC brings together companies, national associations, and stakeholders that play a central role in the development of bakery, confectionery, and innovative food applications.
The General Assembly is COFALEC’s flagship annual event, bringing together yeast producers, industry associations, researchers, experts, and institutional representatives from across Europe. It serves as a platform for discussing the key challenges and opportunities facing the sector, including regulatory developments, sustainability, technological innovation, and emerging applications of yeast.
