SIGEP Asia will host the Gelato World Cup – Asia Selection at Marina Bay Sands (15–17 July 2026)
The grand return of the competition that will select the Asian team for the 2028 Gelato World Cup
SIGEP Asia turns the spotlight on one of the most eagerly awaited events in the world of artisan gelato: the Gelato World Cup – Asia Selection, scheduled to take place from 15 to 17 July 2026 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, alongside SIGEP Asia and Restaurant Asia 2026.
The competition will select the team that will represent Asia at the Gelato World Cup 2028 in Rimini, the world's most important showcase for excellence in food service.
A high-profile competition with technical tests, top ingredients and an international jury
Over the course of three days, the teams will face six technical tests designed to bring out the best in creativity, precision and teamwork.
The jury will be composed of the team captains of the competing countries, joined by two iconic figures in the sector: Sergio Colalucci, President of the Gelato World Cup, and Sergio Dondoli, Official Commissioner of the competition.

The support of Worldchefs and the strategic role of Chef Kenny Kong
The event is organised with the support of the Worldchefs Association, a global network representing over 110 countries and millions of chefs.

The contribution of Chef Kenny Kong, a leading figure in the Asian scene and member of the Worldchefs International Judges Committee, is also fundamental.

Thanks to his experience, the Gelato World Cup – Asia Selection has consolidated its presence in Singapore as an authoritative competition and benchmark for artisan gelato on the continent.
