The panel, moderated by Flavia Morelli, Group Exhibition Manager Food & Beverage Division at Italian Exhibition Group, featured Edurne Uranga, Vice President Foodservice Europe at Circana, who outlined a macroeconomic overview of the sector. In recent years, many countries have seen a decline in out-of-home consumption visits. Against this backdrop, Italy and Spain show relative resilience, standing out for their ability to adapt, while China is emerging with a strong growth peak, confirming itself as one of the most dynamic markets globally.
The discussion, held at SIGEP WORLD, taking place at the Rimini Expo Centre until 20 January, explored how changing consumer behaviours are accelerating the rise of hybrid formats, capable of integrating multiple categories and delivering increasingly seamless and personalised experiences.
Alongside Uranga, the talk featured Nicola Greco, Co-founder and CEO of RivaReno Gelato, Stacey Kane, Fractional Chief Marketing Officer, and Sabyasachi Gorai, owner of Fabrica by Chef Saby, who shared case studies and real-world experiences in innovation, branding and international positioning.
An event that reaffirmed the role of the SIGEP Vision Talks as a privileged observatory on the trends reshaping the future of foodservice.
