Maddalena Fossati Dondero

Biography

Maddalena Fossati Dondero has been the Editor-in-Chief of La Cucina Italiana since 2017 and of Condé Nast Traveller Italia since 2020. For over ten years, she lived in Paris and Barcelona where she was a correspondent for Condé Nast publications. In 2010, she was hired by the editorial staff of Vanity Fair as a lifestyle editor. She is an honorary Ambassadrice du Goût, as well as Madame Chevalier de l'Ordre Coteaux de Champagne. In 2020, she began the campaign to promote Italian cuisine as a World Heritage until March 2023, when the Italian government officially nominated "Italian cuisine, between sustainability and biocultural diversity" as an intangible heritage of UNESCO, which materialized with the vote in New Delhi on December 10, 2025. Author of books such as "La cucina di Antonio Guida" (Silvana Editoriale), she is also the talent of the TV show "That's Cucina - sapori Italiani nel mondo" (Foodnetwork) and a judge on Celebrity Chef (TV8 channel) with Alessandro Borghese.
