THE GEOGRAPHY OF COFFEE: A JOURNEY THROUGH NOTES, AROMAS AND FLAVORS BEHIND THE EVERYDAY CUP

Sustainability District - Hall B1

A single-origin espresso can become a sensory journey through the geography of the country where it was grown. Mountains, lakes, plateaus, and yes, even cultivation and processing techniques influence the flavor in the cup. A flavor that the bean preserves throughout its journey, ending in the espresso we drink. Thanks to the Italian Government’s partnership with producing countries, investments are being made in the coffee supply chain to ensure a fairer and higher-quality coffee in the cup. During the event, speakers will demonstrate how geography influences the taste of the coffee we drink, through an interactive tasting with the audience
