Gelato Festival World Masters, the most prestigious international competition dedicated to individual artisan gelato makers, returns to SIGEP 2026 with the Italian Final.
On January 17, 2026, in the Gelato&Pastry Lab (Hall C2) space, 16 talented gelato makers will compete for 4 available spots to access the World Final scheduled during the year.
Throughout the day, contestants will create their own creations live, which will be evaluated in the early afternoon by a jury composed of experts and industry professionals. The day will culminate with the award ceremony, scheduled at 17:30 at the Vision Plaza (South Hall).
The initiative is carried out in collaboration with SIGEP – Italian Exhibition Group and Carpigiani.
Now in its 14th edition (2022–2025), Gelato Festival World Masters continues a journey that began in Florence in 2010, inspired by the historic gelato recipe attributed to Bernardo Buontalenti in 1559. Since then, the project has conquered first Italy, then Europe and, since 2017, the United States, until becoming a true world championship that in the 2017–2021 edition involved over 3,500 gelato makers from all over the world.
