Piercristiano Brazzale

Piercristiano Brazzale was President of the World Milk Federation (Fil-Idf) from 2020 to 2024. Previously, he played a significant role as a member in 5 technical committees of the Federation, in particular on topics such as nutrition and health, environment, farm management, animal welfare, and dairy science and technology; he leads a working group with more than 40 experts on the topic ‘Ecofriendly dairy technologies’. He is ambassador and leader of the initiative signed by Fil-Idf and Fao, in Paris at the last World Dairy Summit, called ‘Paris dairy declaration on sustainability’.

A graduate in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Padua in 1991, he started as technical manager of Brazzale Spa in 1992, leading the dairy and agricultural activities in Italy, the Czech Republic and Brazil. As co-managing director of the group, he is also vice-president of Brazzale Moravia. A member of the board of Confagricoltura Vicenza since 2012, he has been in charge of the food sector at the DNV certification impartiality committee since 2015. For several years he has represented the dairy sector worldwide at Fao, COP and Codex, also participating as a speaker at numerous conferences around the world on topics related to nutrition and health, the environment and the dairy sector in general.
