David Brussa

Biography

David Brussa holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of Trieste and a Master's degree in Quality Management from the University Consortium for Quality Engineering in Pisa. He has been with illycaffè since 1991 and has held various roles, including Assistant to the Technical Management, Shift Manager in Quality Control and Chemical-Physical Methods Development Officer for Quality Control. He then held positions of increasing responsibility such as Quality Assurance Director, Raw Coffee Purchasing Director and Quality Supervisor, and Machine and Preparation Systems Development Director. He is currently Director Total Quality and Sustainability (title to be verified), reporting directly to the Managing Director. He is responsible for the management and development of all projects relating to the economic, social and environmental sustainability of the company and the maintenance of current system and process certifications, including B-Corp. David Brussa is President of the Easy Espresso Serving System (E.S.E.) Consortium in Milan, a lecturer at illycaffè's Coffee University courses, and a Super Senior qualified taster of coffee drinks.
