Gelato Festival World Masters, the most important international competition for individual gelato makers, makes a stop at SIGEP World 2026 with the Italian Final. On January 17, 2026, at the Gelato & Pastry Lab, 16 of the best Italian gelato makers will compete to secure one of the 4 available spots for the prestigious World Final.
During the day, contestants will prepare their original recipe live and, in the early afternoon, they will present their flavor for evaluation by a jury composed of experts and industry professionals.

With the 2022–2025 edition, Gelato Festival World Masters celebrates 14 years of activity, after its debut in Florence in 2010, inspired by the first gelato recipe attributed to the versatile architect Bernardo Buontalenti in 1559. Since then, the event has expanded its boundaries: first throughout Italy, then in Europe and, since 2017, also in the United States, until becoming a true world championship that, in the 2017–2021 edition, involved over 3,500 gelato makers across the planet.
