The Contest organized by CNA Emilia-Romagna and CNA Rimini with the collaboration of local CNA offices, as part of the Emilia-Romagna Region's project "BREAD SETS THE TREND 2025-2026", is born to unite tradition and innovation, promotes the value of artisanal work and enhances two local excellences: fresh bread, bakery products and artisanal gelato.
The president Paolo Cavini of CNA Emilia-Romagna will introduce the initiative, together with the two regional presidents Massimiliano Poggi and Glauco Bianchi.
Gelato makers, bakers and confectioners associated with CNA will participate in pairs (CNA Rimini, CNA Bologna, CNA Ferrara, CNA Parma), presenting an original pairing between bread, bakery products and gelato, with a description of the recipe, motivations and enhancement of craftsmanship, tradition, innovation and Made in Italy, to promote a healthy, artisanal and sustainable food. The creations will be evaluated by a technical and popular jury, composed of industry experts, students from hotel management institutes and the public in the arena. During the event, students from the Hotel Management Institutes of Reggio Emilia and Rimini will offer the public tastings of focaccia and gelato. The award ceremony will be held at 12:45 pm at the Gelato Pastry Lab.
